Amulet 4 in Stores Now

Amulet Book 4: The Last Council is now available at your local bookstores and online retailers. The crew and I worked harder on this volume than any preceding it, and we learned a lot in the process. This is the first time I feel the team as a whole really hit its stride and the story itself means a lot to me, as I had to weather a very difficult year while writing it.  I sincerely hope you all enjoy reading the new volume, and know that I am working very hard to make the next volume even better.  Thank you so much to all the readers, retailers, librarians, teachers, and parents who have supported us over the years and have given us the opportunity to create more fantastic places and characters for readers of all ages to enjoy.  Here’s hoping the best is yet to come!

Amulet 4: The Last Council

Amulet 4

Today marks the last day we officially work on Amulet 4.  All revisions and additional materials are complete, and the book should soon be ready to send to the printer.  I think this volume is by far the best one in the series, and it is definitely the one that we have put the most effort into creating.  It features a large cast of new characters and a large collection of beautiful new environments, including various locations inside the flying city of Cielis.  The story delves deeper into the history of the stonekeepers, and the characters grow quite a bit during the journey.  I did a lot of work to try and fit as much as I could into the 224 full-color pages of the book, and I think it shows.  Be sure to check with your local bookstore and ask them to order it before it hits shelves on September 1st, 2011!

Special thanks to the Amulet 4 crew for doing an amazing job down the stretch.  Jason Caffoe and Zane Yarbrough did an outstanding job on the backgrounds and colors, while Denver Jackson, Jonathan Chuan Ju Lee, Stuart Livingston, Rikki Simons, and Michael Regina helped us with the flatting and file preparations.  Thank you so much, guys!

I’ll be sure to post preview material for the book in the coming months.  In the meantime, you can click on the cover image above to get a high res version of the full cover spread.
