It's
been a little quiet in here this week, eh? I've been pretty busy,
since I have my hands full with Flight 2 at the moment. The good
news is that the book looks AMAZING. It looks like the artists
really brought the bar up even higher this time around. What's
also really cool is that we're in the same book as some of our
heroes, like Michel Gagne and Jeff Smith among others. Along with
the returning crew members and some new talent, they did an outstanding
job.
The
Ninja
Show went really, really well. When Ben saw all the people
and support, he was so happy he almost cried. Hehehe. I even sold
my Ninja
in the Snow piece! It was surprising how popular it was. Even
before the show was slated to begin it was sold, and there were
a handful of people that were interested in buying it. Being the
guy running around and helping to promote the show, making emergency
photocopies for the gallery visitors, and making sure there was
enough soda, it was funny to think of my own stuff being on the
wall and being received well. I guess, like Ben, I usually see
myself more as the artists' friend and not so much an artist myself.
Sometimes, I really do forget. Thanks to everyone who came out
to support the artists. I hope everyone had a good time. :)
Check
out this cool review of Daisy Kutter over at Movie
Poop Shoot. This book would make an excellent movie, don't
you think? *nudge nudge wink wink* ;) The reviewer actually makes
a really interesting casting choice for Daisy- Virginia Madsen!
Why didn't I think of that? That would indeed be excellent. Anyway,
be sure to pick up the trade paperback when it goes out to stores
next week!
